This is one of those good news stories that television producers love to work on: a weighty story on a massive trend that's going to change so much about our lives - and yet it's good news!

As we produced a series on IoT for Nasdaq-listed Flex (formerly known as Flextronics), we discovered that amid all the doom and gloom in the economy, the Internet of Things represents a shining light.

Even as we read the negative headlines and weak economic growth, there is a huge dirth of talent to make IoT a reality.
