HBM launches Video Savvy LIVE workshop | 17 October 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SINGAPORE/KUALA LUMPUR – Tuesday, September 24, 2019 – Hong Bao Media (HBM) is delighted to announce "Video Savvy LIVE – How to produce videos in time and on budget", a blended learning workshop for in-house marketers that puts them on the fast track to hassle-free productions.
The 1-day workshop is presented by Mark Laudi, former CNBC anchor and founder and CEO of Hong Bao Media, together with Neal Moore, founder of Moore's Lore Media, content strategist and storyteller, with over 20 years’ experience in TV, publishing, advertising and film across the UK, USA and Asia.
"If you are a member of a marketing team tasked with producing content marketing videos or video blogs in-house, this course helps you save a lot of headaches,” said Laudi.
"Chances are, you might have already had some bad experiences, which resulted in the production overrunning in cost or time, or you just don't know where to start,” he said.
"We have compiled all our learnings in this course, 'Video Savvy – How to produce videos in time and on budget'. By learning from the experience of other marketers in Southeast Asia, you are on the fast-track to producing video content regularly, and without fuss.”
"Whether you are engaging an external video production company or not, this course puts you on the fast-lane to a smooth production delivered on-time and on-budget.”
"Camera and editing equipment have become more affordable and easier to use. But if you outsource your video production, you have to know what's going on and be able to hold your own in discussions with the vendors."
Some companies have brought content production in-house.
"You still need the skills to use them, and to distinguish between amateur and professional content," added Laudi.
In partnership with Neal Moore from Moore's Lore Media and Shootsta, the workshop consists of:
Part I – Online learning
Participants will get access to our 6-part, 30-minute video series, and complete a short quiz at the end of each episode. They’re fun, relevant, and immediately actionable in their video productions.
Part II – In-studio practise
Participants will meet in our TV studio near Raffles Place for a day of hands-on learning.
We will cover:
- Understanding visual storytelling
- Understanding the production process
- Planning for interviews and video blogs
- Structuring and communicating your message
- Presenting on camera
- Reading from a teleprompter
- Conducting compelling interviews
- Producing a video interview like a pro
By the end of the workshop, participants will know how to communicate clear instructions to their crew and be on the fast-track to producing valuable video content frequently, and frustration-free.
