Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2018 launches in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, June 1, 2018 – Hong Bao Media, the homegrown provider of a new generation of communications services for a new era of communications, today officially launched the Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2018, to recognise local Senior Business Leaders for their media skills, and to showcase skilled and credible home-grown communicators.
Presenting well in the media, at conferences and in live webcasts is imperative for brand building, to attract and retain customers, and to demonstrate transparency and good corporate governance.
Each week until July 31, 2018, HBM will shortlist a local corporate figure who has demonstrated excellence in a media appearance.
There are four categories:
- Best Broadcast Interview – this includes radio and television
- Best Online Interview – for media interviews that only appear online
- Best Conference Presentation
- Best Live Webcast
Senior Business Leaders can also be nominated by their Communications Directors, or they can nominate themselves through our awards website www.hongbaomedia.com/mediasavvy.html. Nominees will be measured against a number of skills, including clarity of message, body language and their ability to keep their audience engaged.
"During our media training and executive presence workshops for Senior Business Leaders, we sometimes hear the view that Asians lag their Western counterparts in media and presentation skills," said Hong Bao Media CEO and former CNBC anchor Mark Laudi.
"By launching the Awards, we want to prove that our local business leaders can be just as good communicators as their Western counterparts.
Grab Founder, Malaysia's Anthony Tan, already performed very well during the inaugural award in Singapore, which ended April 30: Anthony Tan grabs our attention with interview about Uber merger.
"Our vision is to build a culture of excellence in communication, to maximise the potential of Asian companies in the Asian Century."
