Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2019 to recognise local Senior Business Leaders for their media skills

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SINGAPORE/KUALA LUMPUR – Monday, September 30, 2019 – Following two hugely successful runs in 2018, Hong Bao Media, the homegrown provider of a new generation of communications services for a new era of communications, has once again officially launched the Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2019, to recognise local Senior Business Leaders for their media skills.

Presenting well in the media, at conferences and in live webcasts is imperative for brand building, to attract and retain customers, and to demonstrate transparency and good corporate governance.

Each week until November 30 2019, HBM will shortlist a local corporate figure who has demonstrated excellence in a media appearance.

There are four categories:

  • Best Broadcast Interview, in association with Meltwater
  • Best Online Interview, in association with Shootsta
  • Best Conference Presentation, in association with Dianomi
  • Best Live Webcast, in association with The Streaming Company

Senior Business Leaders can be nominated by their Communications Directors, or they can nominate themselves through our awards website www.mediasavvy.asia. Nominees will be measured against a number of skills, including clarity of message, body language and their ability to keep their audience engaged.

"During our media training and executive presence workshops for Senior Business Leaders, we sometimes hear the view that Asians lag their Western counterparts in media and presentation skills," said Hong Bao Media CEO and former CNBC anchor Mark Laudi.

"By launching the Awards, we want to prove that our local business leaders can be just as good communicators as their Western counterparts.

"Our vision is to build a culture of excellence in communication, to maximise the potential of Asian companies in the Asian Century."
