We've launched “Lights! Camera! Action!” - a team building exercise where your staff produce a live webcast

There are few things that give you a kick like going live on television. There’s something about the “on air” light coming on that quickens the pulse.

But as I recall our former CNBC news editor JT Farley saying, producing a TV story is like writing with a 5-tonne pencil: It can be done, but television production is a team effort, which is why we have now launched the experience as a team building exercise.

Forget about wallowing in mud, climbing rope ladders or playing silly games that embarrass you and your colleagues.

A live TV broadcast is a much more intelligent and engaging way to build team solidarity and resilience at an offsite for a team building exercise.

And it’s huge fun.

HOW IT WORKS

Your staff are now the studio crew of a live TV broadcast. Each participant is assigned a specific role, such as producer, cameraman, vision mixer, soundman, on-camera presenter, and so on.

Our staff show them the skills required for the specific task they have been assigned.

Then we produce a live webcast where it all comes together.

You can always see how cohesive your team really is, just by watching the final program!

Key reasons to take part:

  • Your staff learn skills that are relevant to the real world, as live video streaming is increasingly used to communicate at scale to internal and external audiences.
  • We play directly to everyone’s strengths (or challenges them, depending on your choice) by integrating a CliftonStrengths team workshop with it
  • At the end of the team building exercise the team has a video they can be proud of, with each participant able to show how they contributed.

Offer your staff a team-building exercise with a difference! It’s fun, it’s engaging, and it’s relevant to the real world.

We provide everything: from the TV studio and cameras, to professional guidance in using the equipment, and even presenting on camera.
