Singapore Paincare's CEO gives a pain-free interview
A corporate tie-up is an opportunity for companies not usually in the news to get into the limelight.
Customers, staff, shareholders, suppliers - all your stakeholders should be brought up to speed on how your business is growing and developing.
Singapore Paincare’s tie-up with traditional Chinese medical company Sian Chay gave CEO Dr Bernard Lee an opportunity to speak on camera.
And he did a good job, which is why we have nominated him for the Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2021.
Watch and read below for my assessment.
We launched the Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards in 2018 to recognise local business leaders for their communications skills, and to showcase authentic and credible home-grown communicators.
Supported by the Asia Pacific Association of Communications Directors and joining us this year – the Investor Relations Professionals Association Singapore and the Public Relations and Communications Association - we highlight shining examples for other local business leaders to follow, and to build a culture of excellence in communication, to maximise the potential of Asian companies in the Asian Century.
Nominations close October 31, 2021 at www.mediasavvy.asia.
Core message
Lee cuts straight to the chase. His key message is the first thing out of his mouth in the interview. And he reinforces it by repeating his points again. Can you recall his message?
I love it when a business leader commits to the core message like that!
Flagging
Flagging is an important part of an interview. It indicates to the viewer that you are about to make some important points.
Lee can be forgiven for not flagging his first point and starting the numbering on his second. But he does a good job of talking about these three points, which can be easily remembered after the interview:
- Bringing Traditional Chinese Medicine on board
- The founder of Sian Chay has joined as a consultant
- Corporate social responsibility
If you know Lee, share this article with him and congratulate him on being nominated for the Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2021.
